The six-part prompt skeleton
Rung 1 of 10 · RTO — Role · Task · Output
The move · RTO — Role · Task · Output
The one structure under every great prompt: Role → Context → Task → Constraints → Output → Examples. Six brackets to fill. Everything else in Flint is this skeleton, practiced.
ROLE: You are a [specific expert]. CONTEXT: [What's going on, who it's for.] TASK: [The one concrete thing to do.] CONSTRAINTS: [Length, tone, what to avoid.] OUTPUT: [Bullets / table / email / etc.] EXAMPLES: [One sample of 'good,' if you have one.]
Your turn
Take a task you asked AI to do this week — badly. Rewrite the request using all six parts of the skeleton.
Remember: the AI sees only your prompt — not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.
