1. What Flint is
Flint is a learning tool that helps you use AI for everyday small-business tasks. It teaches prompting, and it can draft content for you using AI models (currently Anthropic's Claude). Flint is a tool, not a professional service.
2. Not professional advice
Flint's lessons and AI output are for general information only. They are not legal, tax, financial, medical, employment, or other professional advice, and using Flint does not create any professional relationship. AI can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. You are responsible for reviewing, fact-checking, and deciding whether to use anything Flint produces. Verify anything important with a qualified professional before you rely on it, send it, or publish it.
3. Your content and your responsibility
You keep ownership of what you type in and what you do with the output. You are responsible for what you send, publish, or act on. You agree not to paste other people's confidential, personal-health, or payment information into Flint, and not to use Flint to break the law, infringe someone's rights, generate misleading marketing or fake reviews, or create content that impersonates a real person or brand you don't have rights to.
4. AI output
AI output is generated from your inputs and can vary, repeat, or be inaccurate. Flint tries hard not to invent facts (it marks missing details with [NEEDS: …]), but it can still make mistakes. Treat every draft as a first draft you edit — not a finished, verified answer.
5. Accounts, plans, and payment
Some features require a paid plan (Pro). Pro renews monthly until you cancel. You can cancel anytime to stop the next renewal; your Pro access continues to the end of the current paid month. Payments already made are non-refundable and we don't pro-rate partial months. Billing is handled by our payment processor (Stripe). You must be at least 13 years old to use Flint (or older where your local law requires).
6. As-is, and limits on our liability
Flint is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Flint and Torch are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss (including lost profits) arising from your use of Flint or reliance on its output, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so parts may not apply to you.
7. Changes, and how to reach us
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA [confirm your entity's home state], and any dispute will be handled in Tennessee courts.
